ANHS Student to Represent Caraga in National Level Popcom Quiz

Butuan – Agusan national High School bagged the championship in the recently held Regional Population Quiz here in Butuan.

Commission on Population Regional Director Camilo Pangan proudly announced highschool student Lawrence Wilmer Anatalio as the champion, who outwitted 9 senior highschool students from different schools in the region who participated the Popcom quiz.

The 2nd prize went to Naima Karina Negad who represents Bayugan National High School in Agusan del Sur while Lynet Sumabal of Carmen National High School in Carmen, Agusan del Norte got the 3rd prize.

As this year’s champion, Lawrence Wilmer Anatalio will represent Caraga Region in the national level to be held in Baguio City scheduled on October 15, 2009.

The Population Quiz is held annually spearheaded by the Department of Education and the Commission on Population in its effort to promote the best practices that supports the issue on population.

Questions given to contestants composed of issues on Family Life and Responsible Parenthood, Gender and Development, Population and Reproductive Health and Population, Environment, Resources and Sustainable Development.
