Butuan – Five officials of the Legacy Group of Companies will be facing three counts of syndicated estafa, this after Cagayan de Oro City Prosecutors found probable cause to charge them, based on the complaint filed by three individuals who claimed that they have been duped into investing almost 3 million with the Legacy Consolidated Plans Inc. (LPCI) and Legacy Card Inc. (LCI).

Among those to be charged are Legacy’s former President and Owner Celso delos Angeles, who is also the Mayor of Sto. Domingo, Albay.

Other respondents included Conrado Carreon, Carolina Hinola, Atty. Christine Antenor Cruz-Limpin, and Basilio Ponciano Carpio.

Allegedly, the prosecutors anchored the charges to the accused as having in conspiracy with each other to lure clients to make investments.

It was also learned, that the Prosecutors moved to include five more respondents in the information sheet identified as: Atty. Norman Tiongson, Rita Maniacup, Martin Nicolo delos Angeles, Atty. Victorino delos Angeles, and a certain Purita delos Angeles.

Three counts of estafa will be filed before the Misamis Oriental Regional Trial Court based on the resolutions issued by Cagayan de Oro Prosecutor Fidel Macauyag.

Once the charges have been filed, warrants of arrest would be issued against the respondents, and Justice Secretary Raul Gonzalez pronounced the case will have a No Bail recommended for their temporary liberty once arrested and detained.
