Murder, parricide raps filed vs. suspects in British missionary slay

BUTUAN CITY- Police filed today parricide and murder charges against suspects in the gruesome killing of a British missionary whose charred remains was found in a swampy area of Purok 7, Sitio Lucahon, Barangay Tagapira, San Francisco, Agusan del Sur Saturday evening (December 8).
The charge sheets were filed past noon today before Butuan City Prosecutor Felixberto L. Guiritan who is also a deputized Ombudsman.
Both hands and feet of the helpless 62 years old British national were tied with steel chain when police investigators unearthed his remains at the swampy area in the village where the two suspects at large were residing.
Butuan City Police Barangay Libertad Station Commander Senior Inspector Reynante Ngoho Sibayton told mindanao.com in the way the crime committed and the remains buried, it would have been impossible to locate the missing British national without the wife’s assistance who personally accompanied the cops.
Sibayton identified the suspects as Annalyn Bataller Brash, 22, who is facing parricide charges and two other suspects, Renante Puerto Prado, 22, and Noah Martinez Noah, 30.![]()
“Conscience may have been the reason why the Filipina wife accompanied the cops in locating the victim but still we have to file parricide case against her”, police officer Sibayton said.
Sibayton claimed the British national Filipina wife, Annalyn Bataller Brash, 22, confided to him and police investigators that she is a battered wife and it was her together with their driver turned suspect Renante Puerto Prado, 22, who plotted and implemented the killing.
Prado was suspected to be the lover of Mrs. Annalyn Betaller Brash, 22.
Sibayton said they release the 22 year Filipina wife turned mastermind suspect after a Prosecutor and a court ordered her release upon posting bail bond. It was not known why the parricide suspect committing heinous, non-bailable crime was granted bail bond.
Along with Prado who was also accused with murder was Noah Martinez Noja, 30, with aliases Noel Noja, Jose Perez, Taboy, married and resident of Purok 7, Sitio Lucahan, Barangay Tagapira, San Francisco, Agusan del Sur.
Noja and Brash’ family driver turned murder suspect, Renante Puerto Prado, 22, were still at large as of press time.
Police said the two are now out of Butuan City and maybe hiding in large cities like Davao, Cagayan de Oro and Manila.
Prado allegedly may have save huge amount of money proceeds via alleged illicit relationship with Mrs. Brash.
Prado was earlier accused by the victim, British missionary David Brash of stealing Brash XRM Honda single motorcycle. But Prado during confrontation at the police claimed it was Mrs. Brash who gifted him the motorcycle.
David Brash, 62, listed his country of origin address as; 1449 Knutsford Road, Grapperhall, Warrington, WA4 2 PW, United Kingdom.
