Christian Hougen, Chief of the United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Office of Economic Development and Governance, meets with Mindanao fruit growers during a recent visit to Kidapawan City. USAID’s Growth with Equity in Mindanao (GEM) Program works with the Mindanao Fruit Development (MinFruit) Council to provide farmers with access to cost effective production, and post-harvest and processing technology, and helps prepare local growers to meet international market standards for products and packaging.
