Sonny Esguerra has some pineapples growing at Buhay Barrio in Apopong, General Santos. Sonny is an avid nature lover, and he really looks out to protect the environment at his large Buhay Barrio Development. Buhay Barrio isn’t really even a development, it is a place where you can be one with nature. Sonny makes sure that the place is clean and well kept, yet not overly developed so that guests can enjoy the natural beauty of the place.

KIAMBA, SARANGANI (September 29 , 2007) Kids mimic a huge surf as it crashes over a seawall Saturday morning, September 29, in Kiamba, Sarangani. The six coastal towns in typhoon-free Sarangani province get moderate to rough seas caused by the southwest monsoon affecting Mindanao as Tropical Storm “HANNA” hits the country.

This is the entryway to Buhay Barrio Restaurant in Apopong, General Santos City. Buhay Barrio is more than just a restaurant, it has lots of facilities for family use with animals and other nice things for the kids. They have rooms that you can rent by the hour for family events, or for an overnight stay. My long time friend, Sonny Esguerra is the owner of the place and Sonny and his wife Babes really look out to ensure that their guests have a great time at Buhay Barrio! Pay them a visit if you are in General Santos. We will feature more pictures on the Photoblog in coming posts.

This is a photo of the front yard of the house next door. The center attraction of the yard is a huge mango tree. Funny thing is, I used to live in that house, a little over a year ago! When I moved back to Marfori recently, I felt like I was coming home.
