On October 27 the first Mindanao Bloggers Summit will be held in Davao City, and I’ll be there! Not only will I be there to check out the event, I am scheduled to speak there! I have already promised to speak on the topic of “Travel and Technology in Mindanao.” I’m kind of excited about it, because I will be able to talk about some trips that I’ve taken and things that I’ve seen around Mindanao, and also how it ties in with Blogging!

I always find that when I take interesting trips around Mindanao, when I come home and write about it (or write about it while I am on the road), activity on my blog always increases. I guess that travel around Mindanao is the most popular subject that I write about on the blog. Lately, you may have noticed that I have not been traveling much, at least not as much as I would like to. Why not? Well, there is a reason, and if you attend the Summit, I’ll tell you why!

Anyway, I hope to see you at the Mindanao Bloggers Summit, why don’t you attend too so that the event will be complete! Read more

Catching the twilight at 5 o’clock in the morning in Jolo Port, Sulu Province.

Houses on stilts create a dramatic reflection on the calm waters of Jolo as a tweak of daylight rushes in for another glorious morning for Tausugs (“tau” = people, and “sug” = South).  We rented a fish boat to go to other islands of Sulu, namely, Siasi & Pandami.  It was a peaceful sight.
