Tawi-Tawi’s beauty

Oliver North, Fox News Correspondent (inset) captures the beauty of the coastal province of Tawi-Tawi through the lens of his camera. Mr. North recently visited the province to witness the turn-over of a boat landing facility built by USAID’s Growth with Equity in Mindanao (GEM) Program, and to speak with former combatants of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) who have benefited from USAID’s “Arms to Farms” Program. Through USAID’s assistance, 28,000 former MNLF fighters have gained livelihood skills and have become productive rice, corn and seaweed farmers. (GEM Program)

Hey Bob! This is the kind of blogging that I hope will come out in your talk during the Mindanao Bloggers Summit.
Hi Blogie – Thanks! My tentative plan for the event is to talk about travel and technology in Mindanao, and tying the two together.
[...] No, I’m not talking about this baby blog of ours. The Mindanao blog, if there ever was one, is Bob Martin’s and none other. Although he’s American and has been living here less than a decade, Bob has been to more places in Mindanao than most of us! Check out his Lakbayan map: you’ll see he’s covered more than 80% of the country’s 2nd largest island already. (Some of us were astounded when, one day, he showed us photos of his trip to Tawi-Tawi!) Love an adventure and have heard Tawi Tawi has the best of what the Philippines has to offer, however I don’t want a nightmare. How do the risks measure up , is it woth it ?
@John Evans: Right now, I would advise that it is not a good time to go. The situation in Mindanao is a bit tense for such travel.
I’m so proud of my little place. In Philippines Bob, nothing you could find beautiful beaches except in Tawi-Tawi. You can also visits the Tango Island and the Panampangan Island, it is one of the best beaches in the Philippines. But because it is not yet been discovered by the Head of the Government of the Philippines, its sacredness made the Tawi-Tawi beautiful.
..and Baguan Island in Turtle Islands is also a paradise. but it’s a sanctuary…
