Banaybanay Public Market

This is the Banaybanay Public Market in Banaybanay, Compostela Valley.  Banaybanay is a big producer of good rice!

    i came from banaybanay and am now here in Israel, i missed this place so much that I can’t resist the urge to brows the net for any articles featuring this humble town of mine. luckily, i have encountered your post. i just want to say thank you and I am hoping to see the websight of the municipality that you are stating.     The price of Banaybanay rice is quite high compare to other commercial rice.

    That public market is done already. That is a project of Municipal Government under Mayor Mejos.

    BTW I am now working on for the website of banaybanay which is banabanay.com maybe next month the site will already be functional. See yah there…

    I didn’t see any USAid signs or anything there, so I don’t think it is. I believe the market is just a locally funded business.

    When the construction is done, looks to be a nice Rice market, is it a project of USAID Bob?

    Richard – I didn’t do any pricing at the public market there, so I can’t say. Of course, it would also depend on what variety of rice you are purchasing!
